RESUMO

Hidradenoma papilliferum (HP) is a benign adnexal neoplasm of the vulva that typically presents as a unilateral, flesh-colored papule in the labium majus in middle-aged Caucasian women. It is considered to be a close counterpart of the intraductal papilloma of the breast. Malignant transformation is rare with few reports in the literature. We present a case of vulvar mammary-type apocrine hidradenocarcinoma arising in an HP.

RESUMO

Hidradenoma papilliferum (HP) is a rare, slow-growing, benign adnexal tumour with apocrine differentiation. It usually affects the anogenital region in adult women and is clinically polymorphous, mimicking other benign or malignant neoformations. The dermoscopic features of vulval HP have not been reported yet. We report the clinical and dermoscopic features in a case series of histopathologically proven vulval HPs. Dermoscopy may be a useful tool for the diagnosis of vulval HP. To our knowledge, our paper represents the first report of dermoscopic findings in a series of vulval HPs in a multiracial population.

RESUMO

We report on three patients exhibiting tumours with exophytic pedunculated structures with eroded surfaces. All cases showed the basic histopathological features of poroma accompanied by large, invaginated ductal structures lined by multiple layers of columnar or cuboidal cells. The columnar cells of invaginated ductal/cystic structures focally exhibited subtle features reminiscent of decapitation secretion along with dense infiltration of plasma cells in the surrounding stroma, mimicking syringocystadenoma papilliferum.

RESUMO

Hidradenoma papilliferum is a rare cutaneous adnexal tumour of middle aged females arising mainly in the apocrine sweat glands of perianal and genital region. Ectopic forms of this entity have been described with majority of them occurring on the head and neck region. We report a case of 16 years young male who presented with two small, well circumscribed, greyish-brown, firm, nodules on his left upper and lower eyelid. A clinical impression of basal cell carcinoma was assumed but on histopathological examination it was diagnosed as hidradenoma papilliferum of eyelid. Immunohistochemistry was performed to support the diagnosis due to its unusual clinical presentation. To the best of our knowledge, only six cases in the upper eyelid and one case in the lower eyelid have been reported in the English literature. This is the first case report of hidradenoma papilliferum involving both upper and lower left eyelid in an adolescent boy.

RESUMO

Nevus sebaceous (NS) is a clinically common benign tumor and has a high potential to develop into a great diversity of neoplasms of epidermal and adnexal origins. However, it is a rare phenomenon of the coexistence in a single NS with two or more skin tumors. We report a case of a 58-year-old woman with two kinds of neoplastic proliferation including syringocystadenoma papilliferum and trichoblastoma arising in NS on the scalp.

RESUMO

We present a unique case of syringocystadenoma with malignant transformation into syringocystadenocarcinoma papilliferum and coexisting trichoblastoma arising de novo in a scalp swelling of long duration in a 78-year-old woman. Syringocystadenocarcinoma papilliferum was described by the World Health Organization as an extremely rare malignant adnexal tumor of apocrine origin with varied histology with some cases reported in literature.
